The feeling of wanting to help someone you love but not being able to is devastating.
I want to save you and love you, and keep you safe. Guide you and teach you and always be there for you without judgment.
I love you.
I don’t know. They’re all special to me for one reason or another. Most of them are characters I relate to or that have a deeper meaning to me.
Right now I’m loving being Elsa. I’m proud of it and the movie really resonated with me, as stupid as that may sound to some.
My next costumes are probably going to be all time faves ;)
Do something dumb. Not anything that’s going to inconvenience anyone, of course, but after you’ve pelvic thrusted through a con with a buddy blaring Ricky Martin’s Livin la vida loca behind you it’s kinda hard to be nervous about anything. I’m hardly ever totally confident in my cosplays, but I roll with it ‘cause hey! It’s fun. I don’t care.
Seriously though, the somewhat recent rise of “mainstream” cosplayers makes everything seem intimidating, I can totally get that, but at the root of the thing we’re all still nerds in costumes that we locked ourselves in a basement for weeks to finish. Once you internalize that, it’s easier.
Ah, and quick exercise: before you hit the con floor, stop, breathe in, breathe out, straighten your back, roll back your shoulders, lift your chin (lengthen your neck), and think MURDER. Even just the change in posture can do wonders for your psyche.
Yup ^ this
I like A&W and Barqs, but my favorites are smaller local bottle brands. I do love root beer floats :)
